The Honeywell Versatilis™ Signal Scout™ Methane Sensor is a wireless gas detection solution designed for rapid and accurate methane leak monitoring across a wide range of industrial applications.

It uses Microelectronic Spectroscopy (MES) sensing technology to detect methane leaks and is designed for applications across the oil and gas value chain, industrial sites, offshore installations and marine environments.

Wireless monitoring with LoRaWAN®

The Signal Scout communicates using LoRaWAN®, allowing sensors to cover large areas without extensive cabling. This makes the system suitable for distributed monitoring across plants, terminals, vessels and offshore platforms.

Its compact design and straightforward installation support fast deployment close to potential leak sources.

Two power options

• HVSS — intrinsically safe version powered by a non-rechargeable Li/SOCl2 battery
• HVSS-EH — energy-harvested version combining photovoltaic panels with battery power

This gives operators flexibility depending on the installation environment and maintenance requirements.
