Reliable pressure and level measurement for marine tanks
The Honeywell PL3700X Pressure and Level Transmitters are designed for marine applications where dependable tank level and pressure measurement is essential.
The range can be used for ballast tanks, service tanks, water tanks, cargo lines, atmospheric pressure, draft measurement and inert gas pressure monitoring. Different versions are available for immersed installation, flange mounting and manifold applications, giving ship operators and system integrators flexibility across a wide range of vessel configurations.
The transmitters use a ceramic sensing element and digital temperature compensation to maintain stable measurement performance in demanding marine environments. The sensors provide a 4–20 mA HART output, allowing calibration, diagnostics and configuration to be handled through the vessel’s instrumentation system.
Built for demanding marine environments
The PL3700X family is designed for long-term use in harsh conditions, including ballast water applications. Honeywell states that the mechanical and chemical design is optimized for compatibility with ballast water treatment systems and for resistance to wear and corrosion.
Depending on the application, the transmitter can be installed directly inside a tank, mounted from the side with a flange, or used in pressure-monitoring configurations for pipelines and cargo systems.
