Combined temperature and pressure monitoring for marine cargo tanks
The Honeywell T901 Temperature and Pressure Transmitter is designed for continuous monitoring of liquid cargo temperature and inert gas pressure in marine tanks.
Depending on the configuration, the system can measure cargo temperature at up to three different levels in the tank using Pt100 RTD sensing elements. These sensors are installed inside sealed stainless-steel tubes, supporting reliable temperature monitoring in demanding tanker environments.
The T901 also measures inert gas pressure using a differential pressure transmitter with a ceramic sensing element. This allows operators to monitor two critical tank conditions from one integrated marine instrumentation solution.
The transmitter can be connected directly to the Honeywell EM540 radar level gauge, allowing temperature, pressure and level information to be combined as part of a wider marine tank gauging system.
Designed for safe cargo monitoring
Accurate temperature and inert gas pressure monitoring is especially important in liquid cargo handling. Loss of inert gas can create unsafe tank conditions, while excessive cargo temperature can contribute to overpressure risks.
The T901 supports safer cargo operations by providing continuous measurement data that can be used for tank monitoring, density correction and cargo management.
