Reliable liquid level detection for marine safety applications
The Honeywell Lidec Liquid Level Switch is designed for reliable point-level detection in marine tanks and safety systems.
Unlike traditional float switches, Lidec uses a fully static sensing principle with no moving parts. This helps reduce mechanical wear and maintenance while supporting dependable high-level and overfill detection in demanding marine environments.
The sensor is suitable for applications such as tanker high-level alarms, service tanks, bilge accumulation detection and water ingress monitoring. Because the technology is insensitive to changes in density, temperature and pressure, the switch does not require calibration, helping simplify commissioning and ongoing operation.
Designed for overfill protection and water ingress detection
The Lidec switch uses a patented surface-wave detection principle inside a stainless-steel probe. The design is completely static and does not rely on vibration or mechanical movement.
A built-in self-monitoring function supports fail-safe operation: if a fault occurs in the probe, electronics or transducer, the system can trigger an alarm. This makes the Lidec suitable for safety-critical applications such as overfill protection, bilge alarms and water ingress detection.
Built for harsh marine environments
The stainless-steel construction allows the sensor to be mounted directly on deck and used with demanding liquids, including chemicals and high-temperature products.
Offers multiple Lidec variants, including the L-20, L-91, L-91C, L-92 and L-92C, allowing the technology to be adapted to different level-switching applications.
