Reliable marine tank level measurement with bubbler technology
The Honeywell CT801 Electropneumatic Level Transmitter is designed for continuous liquid level measurement on board ships, including ballast tanks, service tanks and other marine tank applications.
The CT801 operates using a bubbler measurement principle. A controlled flow of air or neutral gas is sent through a pipe to the bottom of the tank. The resulting pressure in the line changes according to the liquid level, allowing the transmitter to determine the tank level and convert it into an electrical output signal.
This measurement method is well suited to marine environments because the measuring principle is simple, robust and requires limited maintenance. Honeywell offers the CT801 both as a standalone transmitter and as part of the TN3801 cabinet system, which can accommodate multiple transmitters for larger vessel installations.
Designed for ballast and service tank monitoring
Reliable level information is essential for safe vessel operation, particularly when monitoring ballast and service tanks. The CT801 is designed to provide stable measurements while keeping air consumption, installation requirements and maintenance needs low.
The system can be integrated into a wider Honeywell tank gauging architecture alongside products such as the EM540 radar gauge, PL3700X pressure transmitter and Communication Interface Unit.
