The Crowcon Gasman is a compact and rugged personal gas detector, designed for single-gas monitoring in industrial and marine environments. What is it?
Gasman is a compact, single-gas detector that provides personal protection against a wide range of toxic and flammable gases, as well as oxygen. Its rugged design makes it suitable for the toughest industrial environments, including offshore, petrochemical, and maritime sectors. Gasman is portable, lightweight, and designed for continuous monitoring of gas concentrations in the user's breathing zone. With a loud alarm (95 dB), a bright flashing LED warning system, and a vibration alert, the Gasman ensures that the user is immediately notified of dangerous gas levels. The clear display allows real-time gas readings to be seen at a glance.
How does it work?
The Gasman continuously measures the concentration of a specific gas using an internal sensor calibrated to the selected gas (such as H?S, CO, O?, etc.). When preset alarm thresholds are exceeded, the device automatically activates visual, audible, and vibrating alerts. The Gasman can be calibrated and configured via an IR interface using a compatible calibration station or through Crowcon’s software tools. Its robust housing is certified to IP65 and IP67 standards, making it dust- and waterproof and suitable for harsh working environments. A powerful battery enables long-term operation, ranging from several days to weeks, depending on the configuration.
